Glamour?

I recently had a shoot with Wayne Cook of Amethyst Photography. The concept we were working with was the idea of mixing traditional glamour poses with an alternative/gothic look. I jumped at the chance to work with Wayne on this concept, as it seemed that a re-working – and dare I say it a feminist re-working to some extent – seemed to me to be something that glamour needed.

Interestingly, some of the shots ended up looking more like traditional glamour than a parody of the style, but I certainly see this as no bad thing and merely the result of a thoroughly enjoyable experiment. To see the results, head over to the Alt-Glamour album.

[8-bit Icecream] Event

What a night! What a crowd! I performed on Thursday night at [8-bit Icream] in Middlesbrough, which was an event arranged as part of Fresher’s week for Teesside University. I performed ‘Masculine Women Feminine Men,’ and since it was a “geek themed” night, the steampunk elements were very much appreciated. I think this was possibly one of my biggest audiences yet, and they gave me a truly wonderful reception. It was a pleasure to peform for them! To see some photos, head over to the Performance Photos page.

Boudoir

I had a fantastic shoot on Sunday with Julie Cook of Whisper Photography. It was a Boudoir themed shoot, which is something that I don’t have a lot of in my portfolio and I can safely say that I absolutely loved it! I hope you guys do too. We decided to end the shoot with some messy chocolate sauce – tasty!

Charity Calendar Pin-up

Quite recently, I took part in a photoshoot with Andrew Gill for a chairty calendar for 2011. I don’t know the details of how to get hold of it as yet, but I will be sure to post about it as soon as I know. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy some of the photos.

The rest of the photos from the shoot can be found in the Pin-up gallery, so please go and take a look.

Catwalk-Modelling

Last night I modelled three of Kate Fearnley‘s dresses as part of the Change for a Smile charity fashion show held at the Tall Trees in Yarm. It was an absolutely amazing night and I was so pleased to meet so many fantastic people. Many thanks to everyone who was involved in making it happen.

I don’t have any photos to share with you all just yet, but in advance of getting some, I’ve put together a ‘Catwalk-Modelling’ album with some of my older catwalk work.

Steampunk

Steampunk is a massive love of mine from the literature to the fashion. It was for this reason that I had a fantastic time doing a Steampunk themed shoot with Andrew Gill and why I can’t wait to do some more modelling work in this genre. Enjoy!
